چکیده

Aims: Identification of Trichothecium roseum infecting grapes first time in Turkey. Methods and Results: During the summer 2020, white pale pink stains were observed on vineyards harvested storages. These resembling powdery mildew clusters, mostly developing secondarily to gray rot caused by Botrytis cinerea. To determine causal agent disease symptoms, some symptomatic clusters collected both from storages located Hassa district Hatay province Turkey. Two different methods used isolate fungus tissues. For molecular identification, ITS rDNA gene sequence amplified using ITS1 ITS4 primers. Spore suspension was sprayed detached vine organs such as leaf, bud, stem cluster, after 7 days diseases symptoms those orchard. ITS1/4 primer pairs produced about 700 bp band agarose gel. Based morphologic characteristics, identified it has been for Turkey with this study. Conclusions: is present there no difference incidence or prevalence cultivation areas Turkey.Significance Impact Study: detected study. This does not cause significant economic damage directly, but causes health problems due mycotoxins which are fungus.

The ‘Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde fungus’: noble rot versus gray mold symptoms of Botrytis cinerea on grapes

Many cryptic species have recently been discovered in fungi, especially in fungal plant pathogens. Cryptic fungal species co-occurring in sympatry may occupy slightly different ecological niches, for example infecting the same crop plant but specialized on different organs or having different phenologies. Identifying cryptic species in fungal pathogens of crops and determining their ecological ...

Identification of Acremonium acutatum and Trichothecium roseum isolated from Grape with White Stain Symptom in Korea

During 2010 and 2012 grape harvest seasons in Gyeonggi-do, Korea, a white stain symptom was observed on the harvested grape fruits in 'Campbell-Early' and 'Kyoho' varieties. In samples collected from the infected vine, two different strains of pathogenic fungi have been found and identified as Acremonium acutatum and Trichothecium roseum based on fungal morphology and nucleotide sequence of int...

Streptomyces nobilis C51 Suppresses Gray Mold Caused by Botrytis cinerea in Tomato

This study sought to develop a biological control agent against gray mold disease caused by Botrytis cinerea in tomato using a strain of Streptomyces, which showed significant antagonistic activity against B. cinerea. Such strain (C51) was screened by dual culture method from a total of 78 actinomycetes and was identified as Streptomyces nobilis by morphological, biochemical and molecular analy...

Mycotoxin-producing and other fungi isolated from grapes for wine production, with particular emphasis on ochratoxin A.

Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolites produced by filamentous fungi that have been detected in food commodities, including grapes and wine. A survey was conducted to assess mycotoxin-producing fungi in grapes destined for wine production. The mycotoxigenic capacity of the isolates was tested in culture media. Grapes were analyzed by plating methods from 4 Portuguese wine-growing regions at...
